S-Scriptures:  Leviticus 1:3-4, “‘Then he shall put his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him. ‘If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD.”  Leviticus 3:1, “‘WHEN his offering is a sacrifice of a peace offering, if he offers it of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.”  Acts 13:28, “And though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death.”  (NKJV)

O-Observation:  In Leviticus, Moses was commanded by God to give these instructions to the children of Israel.  The great thing about these verses is the personal responsibility of their own sin.  They were to offer an animal without spot or blemish and place their hands on the animal, signifying their guilt before God.  When the person would bring the offering (without spot or blemish) and admit their guilt, their offering would be accepted and they would have peace with God!  In the book of Acts, the people were guilty of sacrificing the Son of God, whom Pilate readily admitted that they found no cause (without blemish) for death.

A-Application:  Jesus Christ is the only way for sinful man, woman, boy and girl to have peace with God.  When we admit our guilt to God (repentance), and place our faith (of our own freewill) in the Sacrifice (Jesus Christ) our offering will be accepted by God and we will have peace with Him.

P-Prayer:  Father in Heaven, thank you for the teaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul said, “It is the power of God unto salvation…” Thank you for accepting my repentance and faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. I am so thankful to have peace with You. In Jesus Name. Amen.
